| Description: |
What we need Severn is seeking to prequalify Contractors to participate in a subsequent invitational Request for Tender (RFT) for the optimization of the Westshore Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Westshore WWTP is located at 3333 New Brailey Line, Severn, Ontario. This RFPQ is the first step of a two-stage procurement process. Only those Respondents who are prequalified through this RFPQ will be eligible to participate in the second-stage RFT. What is important to us It is important that contractors seeking prequalification have demonstrated experience delivering complex construction in operational wastewater facilities, including live tie-ins, multidisciplinary coordination, strong safety performance, risk management, schedule control, and quality workmanship. The construction cost for the project is currently estimated at approximately $10–11 million (excluding taxes). Severn intends the work to be substantially complete by April 2028. Construction duration is estimated at approximately 18–22 months from award to substantial performance. About the Township of Severn Located just 90 minutes north of the GTA and easily accessed from major highways 400, 11 and 12, the Township of Severn (Severn) is nestled in the northern corner of Simcoe County and is considered the gateway to the Canadian Shield. Its sprawling network of trails, combined with pristine lakes and rivers have created an all-season destination for adventurers to explore, while festivals and events, boutique shops, dining establishments, and historic buildings offer something to appease almost everyone else. With a friendly and welcoming residential population of 13,477 spread across a series of charming settlements, Severn is known as a community of communities—both a beloved escape and a place to call home for those who seek a balanced lifestyle. |
